As of the 2024 racing season, the Lake Charles Yacht Club has adopted the Low Point scoring system US Sailing Rules Appendix A for the Wednesday Night Racing Series and Second Saturday of the Month races. This low point system awards the competitors points based on finishing place and amount of entrants into each race. Appendix A5.3 applies. For the 2024 Wednesday Night Races there will be six races in a series with one excluded race with 4 to 5 races and two excluded races for 6 races. If a competitor decides to serve on Race Committee, their score for that race will be averaged from their finished races in that series.
