As of the 2019 racing season, the Lake Charles Yacht Club has adopted the Cox-Sprague High Point scoring system for the Wednesday Night Racing Series. This high point system awards the competitors points based on finishing place and amount of entrants into each race. For the 2019 Wednesday Night Races there will be six races in a series with upwards of two dropped races based on a competitors participation. If a competitor decides to serve on Race Committee, their score for that race will be averaged from their finished races in that series.
The Cox-Sprague High Point Scoring System will also be used on weekend regattas consisting of more than one race as well as the upcoming Winter Series.
